Students are required to attend 5-10 days of training to include all the practical elements of the course (exemptions are available for the 5-day Aromatherapeutic Body Massage Course for those who already have a recognised massage qualification). The ‘distance-learning’ elements are in separate modules with full ‘on-line’ Tutor back up.
Students must submit details of relevant massage qualifications if they want exemption from theAromatherapeutic Body Massage Course.
Students who do not want to practise massage can still qualify as an ‘Aromatherapist without Massage’.
The maximum period within which the course must be completed is 3 years (unless there are exceptional circumstances), although completion is recommended within 2 years.
All modules (both ‘in-house’ and ‘distance-learning’) must be completed before taking the theoretical examination. Students must have a qualification in anatomy and physiology and hold a current First Aid Certificate before their Diploma can be issued.
We provide a modular distance-learning course in Anatomy and Physiology. If you are already qualified, please advise us of your qualifications and the syllabus studied.
Students are required to complete Clients’ Case-Histories and Homework in between courses and an in-depth Case-study is required as part of the examination. A formal practical (where applicable) and theoretical exam is the final part of the course.
It is our experience that students require flexible training, so we have formulated a combined ‘in-house’ (attendance) & ‘distance-learning’ (correspondence) training programme so that students may continue at their own pace.
